ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO : Woman struck and killed while crossing Jennings intersection on Wednesday, 8th November 2023

A woman was fatally struck Wednesday afternoon as she tried to walk across an intersection in Jennings.

The St. Louis County Police Department said the crash happened at 5:21 p.m. at the intersection of Lucas-Hunt Road and Kinamore Drive. The woman was crossing the road when she was struck by a vehicle that was driving westbound on Lucas-Hunt.She was pronounced dead at the scene. She was identified as 68-year-old Sandra Ware. Police said she lived on Lucas-Hunt Road near where she was struck and killed.

Police said the driver who struck her stayed at the scene and was cooperating with the investigation.
