CATAWBA COUNTY, NC : Pedestrian struck, killed in Catawba County on Sunday, March 5th 2017

A pedestrian was struck and killed in Catawba County Sunday night.

Highway Patrol says it happened around 8:14 p.m. on Interstate I-40 east at mile marker 124 in Hickory.

The driver pulled off the road at mile marker 125 and called troopers.

The deadly incident remains under investigation.
