Loon Lake, NY : One dead, another injured in three-car crash near Loon Lake on U.S. Highway 395 on Monday, 10th December 2018

A Chewelah woman died in a crash Monday morning when she lost control of her truck while driving in snow and hit two cars traveling the other way.

Anna M. Kenney, 50, died at the scene of the crash on U.S. Highway 395 south of Loon Lake, according to a news release from the Washington State Patrol.

An investigation determined she was driving too fast for the snowy conditions on the road, the news release stated, and was not wearing a seat belt.

Three other people were injured and sent to a hospital, including a 1-year-old.

Kenney was driving a maroon 1998 Toyota Tacoma pickup northbound at 8:20 a.m. on U.S. 395 about 3 miles south of Loon Lake. About 2 inches of snow had fallen. She lost control of the vehicle and crossed the center lines. She hit a 2007 Dodge Ram pickup truck heading south. A GMC Yukon then hit Kenney’s pickup.
