A pedestrian was killed in an early Saturday morning traffic crash, Colorado Springs police said.
A man was hit by a vehicle around 1:45 a.m., police said, on the 4600 block of El Camino Drive, near North Academy Boulevard and Austin Bluffs Parkway.
The pedestrian, who was not identified, died on scene.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the man, identified as John Marvel, was arrested on suspicion of vehicular homicide, driving under the influence and other traffic charges, police said. He was booked into the El Paso County jail.
