Bridgeport, CT : 2-vehicle crash on Route 8 in Bridgeport on Saturday, 11th January, 2020

Units quickly cleared from the site of a two-vehicle crash on Route 8 north in the city Saturday night.
Firefighters were dispatched for a reported crash with one vehicle rolled over in the area of Exit 2 around 8:05 p.m.
The responding battalion chief arrived at the scene shortly after and reported no entrapment, but clarified that the crash was just after the on ramp for Exit 1. Connecticut State Police units were already on scene.
A fire unit blocked off the on ramp to Route 8 as crews worked to clear the scene of the crash.
By about 8:40 p.m., first responders cleared from the highway and the on ramp was reopened to traffic.
