Jacksonville, FL : 2 injured after car crashes through Jacksonville dental office on Monday, 17th February, 2020

Two people were hurt Monday morning when a car slammed through front of a dental office in a shopping center at 11806 Atlantic Blvd., according to the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department.

The sedan ran over a handicapped parking sign, flattening it as it crashed through the front window of Aspen Dental just west of Kernan Boulevard about 10:30 a.m., according to an image tweeted by the fire department.

The crash left the car buried inside the business after shattering a window and crashing through an interior wall. The impact left two people inside injured, one with serious injuries, and the scene showered in shattered glass, fire officials said.

An employee at the Mattress Firm office next-door told news partner First Coast News that the crash “happened so fast.” The woman driving the Kia was apparently uninjured.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause.
