Jersey City ,NJ : 8- years old Boy killed in hit-and-run crash on Sunday ,June 28th 2015

An 8-year-old boy has died following a hit-and-run crash in Jersey City, authorities said.

The child was badly injured at 8 p.m. on Sunday when he was hit on Bostwick Avenue, officials said.

He hung on through the night but died on Monday morning at Jersey City Medical Center. His name wasn't released.

A driver in the crash fled and was still on the loose Monday, authorities said.

WABC reported two cars were involved in a fender bender, and one of the drivers remained on the scene.

A Jersey City spokeswoman couldn’t immediately be reached for comment on Monday evening.
