Four people were taken to a Park Rapids hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries after a multi-vehicle accident on Highway 71 at the intersection with Jade Rose Drive about 3:14 p.m. Sunday, April 8, the Minnesota State Patrol reported.

Jason Michael Voxland, 18, Fosston, was driving a 2007 Ford Expedition northbound on Highway 71 when he fell asleep, the report said.

Voxland and a passenger in the Expedition, Theresa Lynn Voxland, 50, Fosston, were both taken to CHI St. Joseph's Health for treatment, the report said.

The driver of the Dodge Ram, Mark Vernon Fehrenbach, 47, Perham, and a passenger in the vehicle, Rondel Beth Fehrenbach, 46, Perham, were also taken to CHI St. Joseph's for treatment, the report said.

The driver of the Silverado, Kevin Dale Malterud, 55, Bemidji, and a passenger, Pamela Jean Kerssen, 57, Bemidji, were evaluated on the scene and were not reported injured, the State Patrol said.
