TEHAMA COUNTY, CA : 5 dead, 1 injured in 2-car crash on Interstate 5 near Corning on Saturday, 29th July 2023

CHP Red Bluff said five people are dead and one majorly injured following a two-car crash on Interstate 5 south of Liberal Avenue near Corning.

CHP told Action News Now that at around 12:44 p.m. a car was driving northbound on Interstate 5 when, for unknown reasons, it crossed over the center divide and hit a truck pulling a travel trailer.

The driver and all three passengers in the car were thrown from the vehicle and died. The driver of the truck died as well, and the one passenger was sent to the hospital with major injuries.
