Bowling Green, KY : Brownsville man dies after wreck on Wednesday, October 4, 2017
Warren County sheriff’s deputies were called about 11:45 a.m. Wednesday to an injury collision near Veterans Memorial Lane and New Bond Way.
James A. Madison, 53, of Brownsville, died after the collision.
Madison was driving a 2017 Honda west on Veterans Memorial when he struck the rear of a 2006 Mercury Mountaineer driven by William Burton, 42, of Franklin, according to a news release from the sheriff's office. Once the Honda struck the Mercury, it traveled up an embankment and came to final rest on its side.
Burton had two passengers in his vehicle, Leslie Carder, 71, of Bowling Green, and Sabrina Burton, 5, of Franklin. William Burton and his passengers refused treatment at the scene, according to the release.
Madison was taken to The Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Alcohol and drugs aren't suspected to be a factor in this collision. All parties were wearing seat belts, and the child was in a proper restraint at the time of wreck.
