Walworth County, WI : Illinois woman killed in rollover crash on I-43 ramp in Walworth County on Sunday afternoon, June 21, 2015

A 61-year-old woman was killed Sunday afternoon in a one-vehicle rollover on an Interstate 43 on-ramp in Walworth County, according to the sheriff's office.

When officers arrived to the scene of the crash about 2:15 p.m., they found a 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis on its roof with the driver trapped inside, the release said.

Despite efforts to extricate her, Dorothy Robinson, 61, of Rockford, Ill., was pronounced dead at the scene by the county's medical examiner.

According to initial investigations, the mechanical issue caused Robinson to lose control of the car, which left the road and overturned, blocking a portion of the on-ramp from U.S. Highway 12 northbound to I-43 northbound, the release said.

Walworth County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident, but said Monday that neither alcohol nor excessive speed seem to have contributed to the fatal crash.
