MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY : 2 injured following single-vehicle collision on Wednesday, 8th May 2024

The rain from the storms on Wednesday caused a collision in McCracken County.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies were called to a single-vehicle collision in the area of Huck’s Convenient Store on Lone Oak Road/U.S. 45 at around 7:43 p.m. on May 8.
Deputies learned that 58-year-old Rex Clayton of Mayfield was driving a 2003 Honda Element southbound on U.S. 45 when his vehicle began to hydroplane, crossed the median, the northbound lanes and then struck an embankment.
The collision caused the vehicle to go airborne before coming to rest in a grassy area on the northbound side of the roadway.
