Two men were killed and another was injured after a truck overturned on Route 18 in Colts Neck.
The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office says the commercial line-striping truck was northbound when it went into the median and overturned around 6:15 a.m. Wednesday, ejecting the three occupants.
Two passengers in the truck — 39-year-old Apolinar Guerrero of Piscataway and 51-year-old Juan Sanchez of Bound Brook — were both pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, 23-year-old Nicolas Denis of Elizabeth — was hospitalized in stable condition. But further details on his injuries were not disclosed.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
The accident caused major delays in both directions on Route 18 near the Routes 34 and 537 interchange.
