Jefferson City, MO : A Hillsboro man died in a car crash in Jefferson County on Thursday, August 17, 2017

A Hillsboro man died in a car crash in Jefferson County after losing control of his car on wet pavement early Thursday morning.

James Dixon, 27, was driving on northbound Highway 67 at Highway 61 at about 1:49 a.m. when he lost control of his car, according to Missouri Highway Patrol Troop C.

The car struck a concrete median and a traffic signal base. Dixon was not wearing a seat belt.

He was pronounced dead at 1:58 a.m.
