Aurora,IL : Aurora man killed in crash on may, sunday 7th 2017

An Aurora man died after a two-vehicle crash Sunday morning in Kendall County, Illinois State Police said.

The crash happened at 8:50 a.m. on Route 71 north of Hughes Road.Robert Hoglund, 49, of Aurora was driving a Lexus GX 470 north on Route 71 when a southbound Chevy TrailBlazer driven by Julia Frick, 18, of Marseilles crossed over the centerline and crashed head-on into Hoglund's car, police said.Both drivers were taken to nearby hospitals. Hoglund was pronounced dead at the hospital. There were no passengers in either vehicle. State police continue to investigate.
