Morristown, TN : A Talbott woman died in a motorcycle crash on April, Thursday 20th 2017

A Talbott woman died Wednesday afternoon when her motorcycle left East Highway 25/70 in Cocke County.

Trooper Ronnie Hall identified the victim as Fritzi G. Wolfe, 55, North Rushy Springs Road.

Wolfe was riding a 2003 Harley Davidson westbound at 5:30 p.m. when her cycle left the roadway as she came out of a curve, two miles east of Newport.

Hall said the roadway was wet when the cycle crossed the right shoulder and traveled along a guardrail for some distance, before the victim was ejected. The cycle then continued on for an estimated 50 feet.

Wolfe was accompanied on the ride by another cycle driven by her husband; however, he was not involved in the crash.

The victim was wearing a helmet and died at the scene.

Personnel from the Cocke County Sheriff and Fire Departments, along with First Call EMS, assisted at the scene.
