A look back at the Carrollton bus crash of May 14, 1988

Photos from the scene of the May 14, 1988 Carrollton bus crash. A pickup truck went the wrong way and the drunk driver smashed into the school bus returning from a church trip to Kings Island. In all, the crash killed 24 children and three adults.

This bus crash is often called the worst drunk driving accident in United States history. A pickup truck driven by an intoxicated man crashed into a school bus carrying sixty-seven people. Twenty-seven children and teenagers were killed and thirty-four were injured.
