Montville , OH : 72-year-old Woman trapped in van underwater after crash along Interstate 71 on Friday , May 15th 2015

A 72-year-old woman became trapped in her van in water after a police said a driver ran a red light and struck her.

A Montville police officer was about a block away from the crash near state Route 18 and Interstate 71. He arrived to the scene in less than a minute, police said, and held the woman's head out of the water until more help arrived.

She escaped with minor injuries. Another woman in the car, also 72, was able to escape from the van unhurt.
