FRANKLIN COUNTY, IL : 1 person cited after 3-vehicle crash in Franklin County on Friday, 14th June 2024

One person was cited following a three-vehicle crash in Franklin County, Illinois Friday evening.

According to the Ill. State Police, troopers were called to Interstate 57 near the 71-mile marker for a collision involving three vehicles. It happened around 6 p.m. on June 14.

A pickup truck and two semi-trucks were traveling northbound on I-57 when the pickup tried to change lanes. The truck hit the first semi, then overcorrected and struck the second semi.

ISP told Heartland News that the driver of the pickup truck, 79-year-old Bobby Stagner of Royalton, Ill. was cited for improper lane usage.
