Allentown, PA : Pedestrian died after parking lot crash on Friday, October, 6th 2017
Authorities are investigating a crash in a Stroud Township gated community parking lot that left one man dead and another injured.
A car driven by a 60-year-old woman hit Ronald Gatti, 78, and a 56-year-old man about 10:30 p.m. Friday as the men walked through a parking lot after a meeting at the Penn Estates Community Center, Stroud Area Regional police Cpl. Kenny Palmer said
Gatti was airlifted to St. Luke’s University Hospital in Fountain Hill, where he died at 12:37 a.m. Friday, according to the Lehigh County coroner. After an autopsy Friday, the cause and manner of death were pending investigation.
The 56-year-old man, whom authorities did not identify, was injured.
Both men and the driver are residents of the private, gated community, Palmer said.
Authorities had few details on what may have caused the crash. State police took over the investigation.
No charges had been issued as of Friday night, Palmer said.
