Black Forest, CO : Several people injured in multi-car crash on Sunday morning, August 23 2015
Several people are injured after a car crash in Black Forest.Black Forest Fire rescue was called to the crash at Shoup and Milam Roads just after 11:00 Sunday morning.
A car pulling a trailer traveling north on Milam collided with a pickup truck traveling west on Shoup, according to Lt. Rick Robirds of Black Forest Fire Rescue, the incident commander.
Two men in the pickup were transported by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center.
One man, the driver, had cuts to his head. Firefighters used a jaws-of-life-type device to extract him from the pickup truck. The Wescott Fire Department helped with the extraction.
The El Paso County Sheriff's Office and State Patrol also helped assist at the scene.
The woman driving the car was slightly injured, was treated at the scene and declined to be transported. Occupants of both vehicles were conscious and communicating with rescuers.
None appeared to have life-threatening injuries.
