A motorcyclist received life-threatening injuries Saturday night in a two-vehicle crash at S.R. 14 and S.R. 43, according to Streetsboro police.
Streetsboro Police Chief Darin Powers said officers received a call at 11:13 p.m. Saturday for a crash involving a car and a motorcycle. When officers and Streetsboro firefighters arrived, they found a 24-year-old Streetsboro man, the motorcycle’s rider, with life-threatening injuries.
Streetsboro EMS took the man, whom Powers said was not wearing a helmet, to Summa Akron City Hospital. The driver of the other vehicle, a 60-year-old Streetsboro woman, did not report any injuries, Powers said.
There were no updates Monday on the motorcyclist’s condition, according to Streetsboro police. The hospital did not provide Powers with an update on the motorcyclist’s condition that day, the chief said. The names of those involved in the crash were expected to be released on Tuesday, he said.
The Summit Metro Crash Response Team is assisting Streetsboro police in the ongoing investigation, according to Powers.
