Orondo, WA : One woman died, students injured after School bus crash in Douglas County on Tuesday, June 30, 2015

The Washington State Patrol says all 43 students sent to the hospital after a multi-vehicle crash involving a school bus Thursday morning in Douglas County were sent home after evaluation at the hospital.

A 22-year-old woman driving a car died in crash.

The bus driver and two people in the box truck were admitted to the hospital for treatment. Their injuries are believed to be serious.

Washington State Patrol Trooper Darren Wright said the crash happened when the box truck crossed the center line of Highway 97 and hit the car first and then the school bus head-on.

The Washington State Patrol said 43 students from the Orondo School District were taken to a hospital in Wentachee for evaluation, but only 5 students were injured in the crash. Injuries to the students are considered to be minor.

No identities have been released.
