Jamestown, ND : Barnes County crash victim identified on Friday September 2 2016

The North Dakota Highway Patrol on Friday identified the person killed in a crash in Barnes County Wednesday.

The accident occurred at 11 p.m. on N.D. Highway 1 at mile marker 56.

David Roehl, 64, LaMoure, died when the 2007 Toyota Corolla he was driving was struck by a 2001 Pontiac Bonneville driven by Steven Sauter, 53, Kathryn.

Roehl was traveling south when Sauter, traveling north, crossed the center line, causing a head-on collision, the Patrol said.

Sauter was transported by Kathryn Ambulance to Sanford Hospital in Fargo. He was charged with DUI.
