DELRAY BEACH, FL : Police identify man killed in Delray Beach crash on Friday, January, 19th 2018

A 46-year-old Lake Worth man has been identified as the victim of a fatal crash that occurred in Delray Beach early Sunday.

Police say that Allen L. Mitchell was struck by a vehicle shortly before 2 a.m Sunday as he attempted to cross in the 1600 block of West Atlantic Avenue. Mitchell was not in the crosswalk when he was struck by an eastbound Nissan Sentra, police said.

He died at Delray Medical Center. The Nissan driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
