COLUMBUS, OH : 1 killed in single-vehicle crash on West Rickenbacker Parkway on Sunday, 26th May 2019

One person was killed in a crash Sunday in the area of Rickenbacker International Airport.

It happened on West Rickenbacker Parkway shortly before 12:30 p.m.


The Franklin County Sheriff's Office says the driver was driving north when the vehicle lost control and went up on the median, across the opposite side of the road and struck the curb on the left side, overturning the car.The driver was ejected during the crash and was pronounced dead by paramedics at 12:39 p.m.

The sheriff's office says there is no indication that drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt.

The sheriff's office says the vehicle was reported stolen from Pickaway County.
