Pickering, MO :Maryville man injured in motorcycle accident on Friday, July 10th 2015

A Maryville man suffered serious injuries Friday night when he lost control of his motorcycle an eighth of a mile south of Pickering.Gregory L. Brumley, 37, was traveling southbound on Missouri Highway 148 at 10:18 p.m. Friday night when he lost control of his 2002 Honda CVR 900RR motorcycle and went of the right side of the roadway with the bike coming to a rest on its side.The wreck occurred when the motorcycle’s kickstand malfunctioned, totaling the bike.Brumley, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, was transported by Nodaway County ambulance to SSMHealth St. Francis Hospital in Maryville.Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper J.D. Farmer was assisted in working the accident by Trooper D.R. Reuter and the Nodaway County Sheriff’s Department.
