Nashville, TN : Multi-vehicle crash closes I-24 in Davidson County on Tuesday afternoon, July 8, 2014

A multi-vehicle crash closed lanes of Interstate 24 in Davidson County for several hours Tuesday afternoon.

The crash happened around 1:30 p.m. in eastbound lanes near exit 44B, at the I-65 interchange just south of Briley Parkway.

All eastbound lanes were shut down until just after 6 p.m.

The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
