Marysville, CA : Two injured in Linda crash on Thursday, August 31, 2017

An Olivehurst man and a 4-year-old boy suffered major injuries when their vehicle ran through a stop sign in Linda before ending up in a ditch Wednesday afternoon, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Andrew Hoffman, 34, of Olivehurst, was driving the pick-up with the juvenile in the passenger seat. At about 12:45 p.m., Hoffman’s truck, traveling south on Griffith Avenue, failed to stop at a stop sign at Erle Road, the CHP said.
The vehicle crashed into a ditch on the south side of Erle Road, striking the embankment head-on. The 4-year-old was not in a child safety seat.
Hoffman was transported by ambulance to Rideout Memorial Hospital, while the juvenile was flown by helicopter to UC Davis Medical Center.
Drugs or alcohol are not suspected to have been a factor in the collision, the CHP said.
