Coroner identifies Nampa man who died in rollover Tuesday night

A Nampa man who died in a single-vehicle crash in Meridian has been identified as 35-year-old Shane Lee Peterson, the Ada County Coroner's Office announced Wednesday.

Ada County deputies found the Toyota Tacoma crashed on West Chinden Road in Meridian, just west of North Tree Farm Way. Peterson had been thrown from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center.No one else was in the vehicle.Investigators say Peterson was traveling west on Chinden at about 8:40 p.m., when the pickup drifted into the right shoulder.

The driver apparently overcorrected, causing the truck to roll.
