Bangor, ME : Motorcyclist injured in Bath crash on Saturday afternoon, July 2, 2016

Bath police responded to a crash involving a car and a motorcycle Saturday afternoon in the area of State Road and Western Avenue.

Scott Bernier, the motorcycle operator, was traveling north on State Road when he was struck by a vehicle that was turning left onto State Road from Western Avenue. Barbara A. Johansen was the driver of the other vehicle. She was traveling behind a vehicle that turned right onto State Road and obstructed both driver’s views.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene, and Bernier was brought to Maine Medical Center for injuries not considered life-threatening. Johansen was not injured.

Neither speed nor alcohol were factors in the crash, and no charges are pending.
