Creek Township, IL : 2 children hurt in crash on Route 348 on Thursday, 7th February 2019

Two children in a vehicle with a Franklin woman were hurt Thursday afternoon in a crash in Otter Creek Township, Mercer County.

Mercer state police said Melanie Bell, 25, of Franklin, was driving east on Route 348 at about 1:30 p.m. Thursday when she fell asleep and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle went off the right side of the road and hit a tree head on, police said.
