Bourbon man killed in Franklin County car crash

Missouri Highway Patrol is investigating a single-vehicle fatal crash that happened at 4:45 p.m. northbound on Peacock Road south of Springfield Road in Franklin County on Saturday.Kevin S. Clonts, 40, of Bourbon, Mo., was traveling too fast in a 2006 Saturn Ion northbound on Peacock Road when he lost control of his vehicle, according to Missouri Highway Patrol.Clonts attempted to regain control of his vehicle and crossed the center line, then traveled off the left side of the road and struck a concrete bridge rail. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
