Fallmouth , MA : One police officer injured in car crash after car slammed into the parked cruiser at the intersection of East Falmouth Highway on Sunday morning ,March 15th 2015

A police officer was sent to the hospital after a car crash early Sunday morning in Falmouth.

Police said the office was in a parked cruiser at the intersection of East Falmouth Highway and Baptiste Lane, blocking the road because of a bridge closure. Another car then slammed into the parked cruiser with the officer ?inside.

Both the police officer and the driver of the other car were taken to Falmouth Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Both are expected to be OK.

The accident is under investigation.
