WOODFORD, VT : Driver injured in 2-car crash on Route 9 on Wednesday, 30th September, 2020

A Bennington man suffered minor injuries Wednesday when his car collided with an oncoming car on Route 9, Vermont State Police said.

Police said Alan G. Mack, 64, was driving west on Route 9 when his car crossed the center line, colliding with a car driven by Martin J. Jacobs, 62, of Searsburg.

Jacobs' car, a 2016 Chevrolet Impala, rolled over and went off the eastbound shoulder of the highway.

Mack was transported to Southwestern Vermont Medical Center for treatment, police said.

The crash occurred around noon near the intersection with Notch Road, closing the roadway for several hours, police said.

The VSP were assisted by Bennington fire, rescue and police services.
