A 19-year-old Orangevale man was killed in a two-vehicle car crash on a busy Sacramento street, the California Highway Patrol said Monday.

The crash happened about 9:04 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Madison and Kenneth avenues.

A 2016 Kia Forte was making a left turn onto Kenneth Avenue from eastbound Madison Avenue when it turned in front of a 2003 Ford F250, which was going west on Madison Avenue, officers said.

The Ford slammed into the passenger sides of the Kia, killing the 19-year-old passenger, according to the CHP.

The driver of the Kia, a 19-year-old from Rancho Cordova, suffered minor injuries, and another 19-year-old passenger from Gold River suffered major injuries, the CHP said. Both were taken to the hospital.

The driver of the Ford truck, a 35-year-old from Sacramento, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, officers said.

No arrests were made.
