Lubbock,TX : Texas Tech student among 2 killed in Central Kansas crash on June, Friday 30th 2017

A Texas Tech student was among two people killed in a crash Friday afternoon in rural, central Kansas.

The crash occurred at about 1:55 p.m. in the 100 block of Timber Road in Marion County about 60 miles north of Wichita, according to authorities in Marion County.

Police say 22-year-old Caleb Neal was the driver of a 2008 Honda Civic that reportedly crashed into a utility pole after losing control of the vehicle.

The vehicle was traveling on a gravel road when Neal lost control, leaving the road and entering a ditch before crashing, according to a crash report.
