Boulder County, CO : Man severely injured in ATV crash in Boulder County at Johnny Park on Friday, 24th August 2018

A 59-year-old man sustained severe injuries after rolling his ATV at Johnny Park on Friday afternoon.

The incident was reported shortly after 3 p.m., according to Boulder County dispatch.

The Boulder County Sheriff's Office announced in a news release that the man was treated at the scene and then take to Big Elk Meadows where he was loaded onto a Northern Colorado Air Ambulance helicopter and taken to a hospital. Authorities did not disclose the nature of his injuries.

Deputies and firefighters from Big Elk Meadows and Pinewood Springs, Estes Park Ambulance and Northern Colorado Medevac responded to the incident.
