Three robbery suspects were arrested in Whitefish Bay on Monday following a police pursuit that ended in the crash of a stolen vehicle involved in a robbery in Milwaukee, according to police officials.
The incident began shortly before 3 p.m. when a 16-year-old girl was robbed of her cellphone in the 3000 block of N. 38th St. in Milwaukee, according to Milwaukee police Lt. Mark Stanmeyer.
Milwaukee police spotted the stolen 2003 GMC Envoy believed involved in the robbery and pursued it to the 4700 block of N. Wilson Drive, where it crashed into another vehicle, according to Stanmeyer and Whitefish Bay Police Chief Michael Young.
The three suspects, identified by Milwaukee police as two juveniles and an adult, were arrested near Santa Monica Blvd. and Hampton Ave. in Whitefish Bay, Young said.
A fourth suspect in the robbery fled on foot and was still at large, according to Young.
The driver of the vehicle struck by the stolen SUV was taken to a hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening, Stanmeyer said.
