Franklin County ,IL : Three people killed after Two vehicles collided head-on in Franklin County on Friday night ,April 17 2015
The sheriff's department responded Friday night to a deadly crash in Franklin County, Illinois.
According to the sheriff's office, it happened shortly after 8:20 p.m. on Highway 148, about three miles north of Sesser.
Two vehicles collided head-on.
The driver of both vehicles, as well as one passenger, were pronounced dead at the scene.
According to Coroner Marty Leffler those killed in the crash have been identified.
Richard Kiselewski, 75, of Waltonville, his 6-year-old granddaughter of Scheller and 19-year-old TJay Klamm of Du Quoin all died in the crash.
A 6-year-old twin sister was airlifted to a St. Louis area hospital.
Funeral services for Kiselewski and his 6-year-old granddaughter are pending with the Newell Funeral home in Waltonville.
TJay Klamm was taken to the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
The coroner asks residents to pray for all of the families involved in the tragic crash.
The crash is being reconstructed by the sheriff's office.
The investigation is ongoing.
The Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by the following agencies: Sesser Fire Department, Sesser Police Department, Zeigler Police Department, Christopher Police Department, Buckner Police Department, Abbott Ambulance Service, Franklin County Coroner's Office, and Air Evac.
