Northeast Lubbock, TX : 1 dead, 1 arrested following crash in Northeast Lubbock on Tuesday, 6th November 2018

One man is dead and a woman has been arrested Tuesday following a crash at the intersection of Idalou Road and East Broadway.

According to the Lubbock Police Department, officers received reports of a crash at 5 p.m. between a Jeep Wrangler and a Chevy pickup truck. When police arrived on scene, they located the 52-year-old driver of the pickup who had life-threatening injuries. He was taken by ambulance to University Medical Center where he later died.

20-year-old Keely Walker, the driver of the Jeep, was arrested and will be booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center for intoxication manslaughter and possession of a controlled substance.
