Tampa, FL : Man killed in motorcycle crash on East Busch Blvd. early Tuesday, April 19, 2016
East Busch Boulevard has been reopened to traffic after a crash early today that killed a Tampa motorcyclist, Tampa police said.
Police earlier indicated the incident, which occurred about 3 a.m., was being investigated as a possible hit-and-run, but officials say no physical evidence was uncovered that suggests another vehicle was involved.
According to Tampa police, 21-year-old Jarrett Gretebeck — who was wearing a helmet — was traveling east on Busch Boulevard when he apparently hit the brakes and lost control of his motorcycle.
Busch had been closed to eastbound traffic between Nebraska Avenue and 22nd Street during the investigation. Police announced the reopening just before 8 a.m.
