Authorities say a 15-year-old boy has died following a dirt bike crash in western Michigan.

The Muskegon Chronicle reports crews responded Sunday afternoon to a call about the crash in Muskegon County's Holton Township.

The boy was found dead by another group of riders in an area containing bike, horse and snowmobile trails near Holton High School.

Officials say they believe that the boy died after colliding with a tree. His name wasn't immediately released and the death is under investigation.
