A woman was hospitalized after being involved in a rollover car crash in Pittsfield on Saturday evening, police said.
City police and fire were called to the area of 801 Holmes Road at approximately 7:42 p.m., where they discovered a crash, said Sgt. Nicholas DeSantis of the Pittsfield Police Department.
Investigation led police to believe that the crash occurred after the operator of a black 2018 Nissan Ultima began pulling out of a Holmes Road driveway and nearly collided with the driver of a 2018 Toyota Yaris that had been headed down Holmes Road. The Toyota driver swerved to avoid hitting the Nissan and ended up rolling over, DeSantis said.
The Toyota driver suffered "minor injuries" and was taken for treatment at Berkshire Medical Center, DeSantis said.
