Lake County, FL : Child killed in ATV crash near Leesburg on Sunday, May 29, 2016

A child died Sunday in an all-terrain vehicle crash near Leesburg, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The crash happened shortly before 9 p.m. at Treasure Island Road and Treasure Island Avenue, troopers said.

The child was taken to the hospital, but did not survive.

The identity and age of the child has not been released.
