Monessen, PA : Fatal single-vehicle accident on Route 711 on Saturday, December, 23rd 2017

Emergency crews are responding to a fatal single-vehicle accident on Route 711 near Palmer Drive in Ligonier, where an pickup truck has overturned, trapping the driver, according to Westmoreland County emergency dispatch.

Police are shutting down that section of the highway while they handle the accident.

The accident occurred at 12:18 p.m. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, according to emergency officials.
