Danville,AL : Tractor-trailer, car involved in fiery Danville collision on may, friday 5th 2017

One person was injured when a tractor-trailer and car were involved in a fiery collision early this morning on Alabama 157 near South Johnson Chapel Road.

Morgan County 911 received the call about the wreck at 3:59 a.m., Operations Director Kelly Armor said.

The accident caused a Sysco food truck, which was hauling frozen food, to catch on fire, but no further details about the wreck are available, troopers said.

The driver of the car sustained unknown injuries and was transported to Huntsville Hospital for treatment, troopers said. WHNT Channel 19 reported the driver of the truck wasn't hurt.

The northbound lanes of Alabama 157 remained blocked after 8 a.m. today, and troopers and emergency personnel remained on the scene, troopers said.
