IOLA, KS : Coffeyville woman killed in head on collision on Thursday, October, 12th 2017

A Coffeyville woman died Thursday morning when her vehicle crossed the center line on US-169 four miles south of Iola.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported Lisa Marie Strickland, 28, driving a 2007 Chevy Uplander, was northbound on US-169 and crossed the center line, striking a 2005 Peterbilt semi driven by Andrew Jeremiah Robinson, 38, St. Marys.
The KHP said Robinson tried to move to the shoulder to avoid the Chevy but it continued across the lane and struck him head on. Robinson was not injured. Both were wearing safety restraints.
Both vehicles were removed by Lily’s Towing.
