Memphis, TN : Man charged with DUI after crashing into ambulance on Saturday, April 16, 2016

A man is charged with DUI after a crash involving a Fire Department Ambulance.

It happened on Sherwood Avenue and Florida Street.

Police said 23-year-old Aaron Franklin was driving a Ford Explorer northbound on Florida Street when he hit the driver’s side of an ambulance.

Police said Franklin did not have headlights on at the time.

No injuries were reported.

Franklin is charged with driving charges, suspended license and DUI.

The paramedic driving the ambulance was ticketed for failure to yield.
