WICHITA, KS ; 19-year-old McPherson man killed in weekend crash on Saturday, 3rd August 2024

Authorities identified a McPherson County man who was killed in a crash early Saturday morning.

The McPherson County Sheriff’s Department confirmed 19-year-old Dalton Deist was killed after crashing his car just southeast of Marquette.

According to the sheriff’s department, the crash happened around 1:56 a.m. on 6th Avenue. Deist was in the 2500 block of 6th Avenue heading southbound when he failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle then went off the road and struck several trees.
